Retroness is fabulous - Given a design brief to revamp the existing food court to a Malaysian old street ‘Kopitiam’ concept, the Midtown Foodhall is the result of an exploration of materiality, colour and an intuitive juxtaposition of contemporary and vintage elements. The interior is furnished with a touch of retro-inspired wooden stools, antique furniture and art decorative tiles that will sweep you back to the past. Tropical plants such as fern and palm are pair with bird cage pendant lights to create a warm and bold tropical uplift to the space. Unfinished concrete walls and timber panelling complete the look, making every corner looks so on point with a sense of nostalgia.
