HOUSE
year 2020

Home to a family of four, this house sets out to fulfil the brief of amalgamating both quality living spaces, ample outdoor areas and sleek interior design all around the house.
On the ground floor, the semi outdoor terrace was conceptualised as a means to link the living and dining area, and introduce light and ventilation into the house without sacrificing privacy. This deliberate planning bridges nature and living, and blurs the indoors and the outdoors. Right next to the living area, we bring in a laminated folding door to define the guest room when there is visitor to the house. On usual day, the folding door can be opened to extend the spatial width of the living space.
On the interior, a carefully curated light wood fluted panel ceiling was introduced right from the entrance to the dry kitchen, visually connecting and elongated the space. Natural stones were chosen such as silver mint for the altar and dining backdrop, dark supergante adorn the living TV cabinet, black marquina for the staircase feature wall and brushed metals for the accents.
