Africa Enko Urban School

In the context of compact urban city in Bamako, Mali, we experimented the vertical space planning and proposed multi-volume space to enhance the use of space and allow interesting visual perspectives. Without restrict the indoor/ outdoor activities, all the classrooms are designed with an open play area, allow flexible and innovative teaching and learning. Inspired from the native art of Malian – Bògòlanfini or Bogolan, we reproduce the traditional pattern with combination of wood, reed, and polycarbonate, and make it becomes the spotlight of the building façade. Somehow, it recalls the root where we were nourished – ENKO Education.

Kampung Teres
We reiterate the planning concept of Kampung. We improve the sustainability and livability, by integrating some contemporary technologies such as Off-grid Housing, Zero Energy Town, Grey water and Black Water Recycling and Renewable Energy.
We believe the people who are staying define the spirit of neighborhood. We architect only build the space upfront and provide some solution proposals. Thus, we propose an open-ended development housing scheme which enable the township, to develop continuously, evolve and transform, into a model that the local residents would wish to have in future.
Teres S (Serambi) & Teres R (Ruang Udara)
We reinvent the Malay House, introducing two prototypes of Terrace House. They are designed in modular and integrated with some passive design strategies and Smart Home devices.
