Reconfiguring the ground floor layout, this house was designed to recreate the family’s love for nature and light whilst inside. Open planning was adopted to allow a spacious living and dining area which can be turned to toddler’s play area. Folding door was introduced at the open deck and courtyard to eliminate the boundaries of indoor and outdoor. Borrowing natural light coming from dining area and wet kitchen, the dry kitchen is well lighted with natural lighting during day time. The ideas were explored and distilled to create a natural harmonization of the house's linear spatial qualities. The interior of the house was designed with exploration of natural hues and materials. A blend of natural timber lamination and soft tones were used to create a cozy and bright interior.
